Hiya!

I’m ‘The Mummy Whisperer’, not a parenting whisperer, a ‘mummy’ whisperer.  So I’m the go to girl for ideas on how to enjoy being a Mum, because I think that Mums are special and immensely important to our world.  I’m also a best selling author, award winning blogger, freelance writer, coach and of course a Mum, because otherwise it would be a bit daft heh!

  • My name is Lisa Pearson, I’m 42 (born 1969)

My Policy When Dealing With Media, PR’s and Companies

If you are a company, then keep reading; I’m going to be straight with you about my policy about Adverts, Reviews and Competitions to give you a really good feel for whether we are suitable partners in crime!  I follow the ‘Blogging with integrity’ rules from Britmums and a few extra of my own.  Email me for a copy of my media pack or statistics or both.

I’m looking for a fair deal - you gain, I gain and my readers gain!  Not you gain, it costs me time, and my readers hate it because it wasn’t useful to them, or I gain and you and my readers get a rubbish post of no value.  Plus I’m always aware of my long term reputation, so it’s important that the products or services that I recommend are really good quality otherwise I’ll have to say.

Radio – I LOVE radio, all those buttons and dials make me feel like a kid again!

TV Appearances – I’m not likely to say ‘Oh no I don’t want to do any TV’ am I ;o)

Features – I’m always open to writing a feature for fellow bloggers, websites, magazines or newspapers, and will make sure that each one is unique and tailored to your audience

Reviews/Sponsored/Competitions Posts - I limit my reviews/sponsored/competitions posts to one of each per month.  They also need to be very specific to either my children’s ages or subjects that I have written about.  I tend to be paid for the posts and/or keep the products I’m reviewing.

Advertising - I now have space for advertising on my side-bar.  What I’m really looking for is an advert for something that I feel would be really useful for my readers.  I don’t view advertising as ‘the devils work’, more as a way of finding stuff that we really want.  However, it can make people want things they don’t need, or that would be unhealthy, and I wouldn’t be keen on that.

Events - I’d love to come to your event, bear in mind I will have expenses, and that I have a school age child and toddler.  I’m open to being sponsored to being sent to an event in order to cover expenses.  I’d love to talk at your event about blogging, enjoying being a mum, relationships or bullying: check out my tabs for ideas on the themes that I cover.  I would definitely need my expenses covered though, and it depends on the event about whether I might need payment too (after all it will be taking away an opportunity for me to earn elsewhere).
