Before I decided to just focus on Mums in my business, I mainly worked with people on their relationship or businesses, so you will find that I often blog about relationships. There are added pressures as a parent when it comes to maintaining all our relationships especially with our partners and children, as there is often exhaustion, stress, and a huge load of hormones thrown in. But I can help by teaching you more about human behaviour in general, which will save you time and energy. You’ll understand people better, have clearer expectations of what they can and can’t do, and know how to communicate with them. Most importantly, you’ll know how to show them you care and how to feel cared for in return.
When I work with clients on their relationship with a partner my objective is not to force you stay. Ironically it takes the same amount of work to leave contentedly as it does to stay contentedly. So my blogs will also help you to think through all the emotions and baggage of your relationships and sort your head and emotions out, so that you can follow your heart.
As far as my relationships go, I’ve been with the Big Hairy Northerner for 22yrs as I write this page, and we have not just had little ups and downs, but some pretty major ones. However, I don’t regret any of the 22yrs. I can’t promise to you that I’ll be married to him in another 22yrs as I have learnt that life can be exceptionally surprising, but I can promise that whatever it is will be the ‘right’ choice for us. With my kids the thing that most concerns me is that they feel loved and that they love/understand me in return, everything else kind of takes second place.
