Phew, that was a little scary!

Due to some technical problems and diary issues we just had Liska one very brave Mum (and her gorgeous 2yo son!) on the hangout and then 3 others watching live.

But that meant that we got through A LOT!!

 

Starting your new regime right

 

Starting right makes such a difference to wether you get going at all, and keep going.

Listen to the hangout for tips on:

 

1) NEVER mentioning DIETS or WEIGHT or WEIGHT LOSS …. only getting Healthy, Fit and Strong

2) Why Healthy, Fit and Strong are so important for Mums

3) Why it’s important to be clear on ‘the problem‘ and how we got there

4) Some questions about what is important in our lives; this is so that we can be sure the goals are really suited to us and so that later on we can do the mind set exercise.

5) Why it’s important to measure ourselves in SO MANY ways

6) Setting goals, with mini goals in between

7) Not expecting to do it all at once, but why a gradual ramp up every 6 weeks is ideal

8) Creating a plan of action

9) Making sure your plan includes rewards for your body (even 15 minute baths are good), and for yourself (e.g. new knickers).

10) Tips for snacks, and increasing water

  1. Thank you so so much Lisa. You shifted something DEEP within me that just gave me the courage to do my Yoga tuning in mantra for the first time in 3 years… and I recorded straight live to hangout too – I thought what the heck….
    BECAUSE you are spiritual, you are healing even when talking about weight loss, so you shifted something within me.
    Probably because of all of your reiki etc… or just being in your divine calm presence, but your soul on some level spoke to mine.

  2. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my blog. I’m interested that you think ‘How to talk so kids will listen’ has something in common with Dr Spock- I guess good advice transcends the ages!

    1. DEfinitely @mumalogues, I think that Dr Spock and the ‘how to talk so kids listen’ people are more about listening to our natural intuition; it’s just that it’s harder now that we don’t live in communities like we used to.

  3. I think it’s great to focus on being healthy and fit! That is a great way to lose weight and look great! I think it is so important to just find a fat burning product or system you feel comfortable with in order to reach your weight loss goals.

    1. Thanks @alan, yes it can help, although I feel that sometimes people don’t learn from them, whereas I’m trying to teach the basics of a healthy, fit life, so that people don’t need to rely on me to maintain it. Good luck with your program though.

  4. Slimming pills are not necessary in weight loss, in fact those are only useless if we still have a poor diet and lifestyle. The food we eat is the main reason why we can become healthy or not, it is also the reason why we can gain weight if we overeat.

  6. I think the idea of not mentioning diets is a great one, because that would only be focussing on what we are ‘missing out on’ rather than what we are gaining through becoming healthy and strong. Thank you for the great advice!

  7. I’m so glad I passed by in this site, Lisa! My wife has a hard time in her weight loss program especially the diet part. Setting goals is very important and there must be a gauge in accomplishing each one of them. My wife appreciates your tips and advices. Thanks for sharing! 😀

  8. That is really a good post. You made some really good points and I am grateful for your research. This information helps all of us to get rid from extra weight and fat.     1. Thanks @Scott, I’m not keen on people using supplements for weight loss as many seem to just increase their metabolism in a slightly scary way, but I do use Cherry Active for my fibromyalgia.
